FAQ

Here are some questions we are often asked on the service side of things:
Q) Why does my black tank always read that it has something in it after I dump and flush the tank?

A) This generally happens when the tank is not flushed properly. You have to use the chemicals, fill the tank with water, and let it sit overnight to completely flush the tank.

Q) How often should I re-seal my roof?

A) This, of course, depends on a number of factors. However, most roofs need to be re-sealed after 4-5 years.

Q) How often should I have my brakes inspected?

A) Every 3,000 - 5,000 miles or every two years.

Q) How often do I need to flush the water heater?

A) This is generally done twice a year. The procedure is a simple flush and drain.

Q) How do I winterize my RV?

A) Winterizing your RV is a fairly painless procedure, but it just takes a little time. Les Doll from the RVers' Corner (http://www.rverscorner.com/articles/painless.html) has a good guide on how to do this. You are also more than welcome to schedule an appointment with us and we can take care of it for you.

A tip for everyone: If you do bring your RV in for any service, please make sure it is clean. It makes it easier on our technicians and will save you money if we don't have to take more time to move things around. If you have any tough questions, you can give us a call and we'll do our best to help you out. Thanks, and happy RVing!
